Before the LS took over, the '85 GT was powered by a legendary Cadillac 4.9L V8. This swap was all about torque and that distinct small-block rumble in a mid-engine chassis.

Project Highlights:

• Engine: 1993 Cadillac Eldorado 4.9L V8.
• Intake: Custom Allante Intake manifold swap (The "Crown Jewel").
• Transmission: Beretta 5-speed manual conversion.
• Performance: Nitrous-fed power delivery and custom dual O2 sensor tuning.

Technical Evolution

This build was "modded until it popped," serving as the ultimate R&D platform for everything I learned about V8 Fieros. I managed the setup using a 7730 ECM with custom burned chips and an MSD ignition system.

The 4.9 offered incredible low-end grunt, making the Fiero a monster on the street. It paved the way for the high-horsepower goals of the current LS build.
